About me

I've spent 15 years trying to close the gap between what leadership needs and what technology can actually deliver. Along the way I've learned that the best solutions usually come from understanding the business first – and the technology second.

I've built a self-sustaining EA function from the ground up at a national infrastructure company – recruiting and leading teams of senior architects, establishing governance, target architecture, and portfolio management, and embedding ways of working that outlast my tenure. I've worked hands-on across all architecture disciplines: enterprise, business, information, application, infrastructure, and security.

I enjoy being hands-on. I've modernized IT landscapes with 200+ applications, built data platforms that replaced expensive vendor solutions, designed cloud migrations and hybrid architectures, and stepped in to get stuck projects moving again. I'm just as comfortable writing code as I am presenting a strategy to the executive team.

I believe AI has enormous potential – but only when it's integrated as a natural part of the business, not as something separate on the side. Right now I'm heading IT and business development for a group of companies, while also building my own B2B SaaS product. I learn the most when I build things myself.
